Black Eyed Peas (Pre-Fergie)

Most won't remember Black Eyed Peas pre 'Elephunk', the album that introduced Fergie as a new member of the group. That in my eyes is a crime. Behind the Front was Black Eyed Peas debut album. It is arguably one of the greatest hip-hop debut albums from a group. Driven by production from Wil-I-am, this album broke stereotypes of what West Coast hip hop was all about . It was hip hop at it's purest and transcended coasts at a time when tentions between east and west had reached a boiling point. It's because of this album I've given Black Eyed Peas a lifetime pass for crossing over. Do yourself a favor and check this album out, you will be pleasantly surprised and your ears will be forever grateful.

Quincy Jones X Bill Cosby

I was doing a little net surfing this morning and came across this fresh album cover of a gangsta looking Bill Cosby and Quincy Jones. Although I've had my issues with Mr.Cosby, I can't deny that this looks interesting. I'm going to do some digging and see if I can find this album.

Stay tuned......

Classic Esquire Cover "The Passion of Muhammad Ali"

There's not much you can say about this classic Esquire magazine cover. Ali is legendary in so many ways and was the subject of many iconic photographs. This is just one of the many photos that will always be etched in my memory.

Great idea!

I saw this on http://paperplatesclothing.com/blog/  a very cool blog that you all should check out...

KORG iELECTRIBE App for IPAD

Many have argued that iPad is just a bigger version of the iPod Touch, but all cynical techies aside, the iPad continues to blaze its way through the market with rather surprising results. And while some might wonder, so what if the screen is bigger than the iPod Touch, here is an app that will prove that bigger is indeed better. For the beat buffs with a need to create all the way, all the time, KORG has turned its popular ELECTRIBE-R into an iPad application. While the ELECTRIBE-R has served dance musicians and beat masters for the past ten decades, the renewed version for the iPad will continue to meet all beat making needs with the virtual analog beatbox. The faithful replica will allow one to use a real keyboard and interface to name and manage resets. Of course, the larger screen size of the iPad will ensure that no one will have to feel like they have fat fingers again. The KORG iELECTRIBE is now available for download via iTunes.

Banksy Exit Through the Gift Shop Extended Sneak Peek

Exit Through the Gift Shop, the first film by renowned graffiti artist Banksy, became the hottest ticket at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival where it made its world debut. Banksy is a graffiti artist with a global reputation whose work can be seen on walls from post—hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier on the Palestinian West Bank. Fiercely guarding his anonymity to avoid prosecution, Banksy has so far resisted all attempts to be captured on film. Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the incredible true story of how an eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner with spectacular results. The film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader and many of the worlds most infamous graffiti artists at work, on walls and in interview. As Banksy describes it, Its basically the story of how one man set out to film the un—filmable. And failed

The Secret Behind Nike Air

Since the early Spike Lee directed Air Jordan commercials Nike has always delivered with clever marketing. "The Secret Behind Nike Air" another example of this.

The finished product dubbed "Out of My Mind" was set to be commercially released in 2007 but due to label politics it never saw the light of day. Because of the high demand ?uestlove leaked the project and I have it here for you all to enjoy. PLEASE DON'T SAY I HAVE NEVER GIVEN YOU ANYTHING!!!!

Kelis - Acappella

Visually this video hits the spot. Personally I've never been a big fan of electronica/dance music, but I think Kelis is the perfect artist to experiment with this genre. The song itself is cool. Being a new parent myself I can associate with how life changing having your first child can be. That being said, this is a great ode to her baby.....

Erykah Badu - "Window Seat" (Official Video)

The video that inspired Badu's clip
Matt & Kim

The dope thing about Erykah Badu's video is that according to her it was shot Guerrilla style with no crew, just her and one camera man in downtown Dallas......AND THEN THEY RAN LIKE HELL!!!!

Kanye West - Street Lights
